Shifflett Family Genealogy
Here is a picture taken at Prize Hill  submitted by Bill Batton
Bill has identified some of the people but we need help trying to identify as many as possible.

This picture was taken at Prize Hill, perhaps dated prior to 1910 maybe 1908-09 era.
It was a social for young people. The older ladies were there to chaperone.

L to R standing in the back:
Charles Garrison and Cora Garrison (both believed to be and they married)
The man in the back could be Eddie B. Austin ( face half obscured);
Emma Frances Garrison Austin and her husband Clarence A. Austin;
Man with the long tie believed to be George Austin;
Don’t know who teenage boy is;
Don’t know who this lady is;
Lilburne O. Austin (believed to be);
Vera Garrison Austin, his wife;
Older woman could be Ms. Puss Davis ( lived next to Prize Hill)
Sarah Frances Coleman Garrison ( Ryland’s wife) with glasses and bow tie;
This woman could Be Ms. Puss Davis;
(my notes says Grandma said the one on the left was…but which left?);
Don’t know that lady or the baby or that lady;
But lady on end is Miss Niza Shiflett.

L to R Kneeling:
Don’t know…could be one of the Garrison boys ( brother to Emma);
Bryce Walton;
Maude Sheplett Waltom , his wife;
Don’t know…Miss Shortie Sheplett Morris maybe?; Temple Sheplett Austin; Levi Austin, her husband; Ethel Sheplett Austin ( George’s wife);
Don’t know ..Gertrude Sheplett maybe??;
Don’t know …could it be Alice Madison Sheplett? These are her daughters and she surely would have been there;
Don’t know that lady on the end;

L to R Sitting:
First boy is Jimmie Garrison ( died as a boy)
The rest I don’t know.

Unknown 6 is believed to be the family of Solomon Nathaniel Shiflett and Frances Powell. They can be found on the Nathaniel Chart

John C. and Rosa Shiflett 
John Columbus and Rosa on the left (older couple), Alma Shiflett is in the back, leaning on the car second from right.
Her daughter, Janet Schwartz, is the little blonde haired girl on front row right most side.

#5 identified by Jerry Rodeheaver

Small boy in front row is Jack Rodeheaver.  Boy on his left in the front row is Robert Rodeheaver and the girl on the left is his sister, Betty Rodeheaver.
Boy in the back row on left is Carl Rodeheaver (my father).  His father, Jeramiah (Jerry) Rodeheaver is on his left with Goldie, his mother and Marvin Rodeheaver (with the pipe) is, his older brother completing the back row.  All have passed away.

#10 & #48  William C. Batten
The lady on the far left  in #10 and the lady seated in #48 could be Miss “Puss” Davis.
I have an old group photo taken at Prize Hill around 1910 and this lady is in the picture.
I’m not certain but I believe my Grandmother told me her name was ”Puss” Davis.

The tall girl on the right is my dad’s oldest sister – Gurnie Christine Shiflett Morris (DOB Marach 5, 1904) who was married to Edgar Morris.  The other girl on the right is Dad’s sister Ethel (Essie) Florence Shiflett Shiflett (DOB July 13, 1906)

John William Bruce Home and Family Boonesville. Picture ID L to R George Wallace Bruce, Emma Georgia Bruce, Clara Bruce, Arthur Bruce, John William Bruce, and Lula Bruce. The old House is still standing below Prize Hill Cemetery. This picture is in the Bruce Family History 1804-2004 by Alfred and Joann Cummings

#43 Man in the middle is her Grandfather Henry Clinton "Clint" Shifflett, son of  Wesley Amos Shifflett and Jenetta Snow Shifflett.
Phil Lamm identified these pictures
#4  man on the far left is Elijah Shiflett and beside him is Elijah's wife Tildie Morris. The first child from the left is Elijah and Tildie's only child, "Nora". The man standing behind the man with the jug is Leo Shiflett.
#13 is Robert Lee Wood. Robert had a daughter named Mollie Wood
#38 is Emma Wood Bruce and her husband and family. I have the others names but not handy at the moment. Emma was my g-grandmother's sister and their father was William Lindsay Wood. This picture was at the Emma Wood Bruce Home near Prize Hill Cemetery. 
#38 Seated : Emma Wood Bruce
Standing : Arthur and Lula Bruce Morris (they had a son named Basil) Lula was the daughter of Emma Wood Bruce.
Some of the others are familiar and I will examine them later and let you know what I find. The ones I identified are identical to copies I have from  the Emma Wood Bruce home and the Gladys Bruce Morris home. The Shiflett pictures were identified by a host of friendly Shiflett family members when they were not already identified
